Barry leads Mpisi Consulting with over 30 years of experience spanning manufacturing, services, and distribution in the FMCG, import/export, and wholesale sectors. He has held senior roles across consulting, finance, general management, and IT, working with companies from SMEs to listed corporations across Asia Pacific, North America, and South Africa.
A technology enthusiast and early adopter, Barry has built and led SaaS and managed services companies, leveraging platforms such as Dynamics NAV and Business Central to help SMEs work smarter. His career began in finance, but a drive to optimize operations led him to champion technology and data-driven decision-making. Early adoption of business intelligence platforms in the 1990s shaped his belief in the importance of data governance and using insights to work on the business, not just in it.
Barry’s leadership style emphasizes team empowerment and performance. He has extensive experience at both Board and executive levels, but his greatest insights come from working directly with business owners and operational teams. He is known for building trusted teams that deliver results while fostering a culture of customer focus and accountability.
